OBSERVATION DISTILLED.

I work from an intersection of drawing and printmaking.
Everything - interior and external - is fodder.
Like solving a puzzle, filtering concept, aesthetic, craft and intuition is both seductive and absorbing.


About Nancy Cusack

ABOUT

Nancy earned her A.B. in Sociology from Boston College before pursuing art and design studies at the School of the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston; the Rhode Island School of Design (undergraduate and graduate); and the Institute for Art and Human Development at Lesley University in Cambridge, MA, and Creative Therapies at Middelloo Institute in Amersfoort, Netherlands. She earned professional registration (A.T.R.) with the American Art Therapy Association, and Certificate in Interior Design, Commonwealth of Massachusetts through Massasoit College, as she created standards for art in specialized medical interiors. In addition to her studio practice, Nancy has curated, juried, and organized numerous exhibitions and lectured extensively.

Now Professor Emerita, The Massachusetts College of Art and Design, continued teaching until the pandemic. She founded and led the Studio Foundation Department and later the the studio drawing program Nancy deeply enjoyed teaching across undergraduate and graduate programs and in Mexico. There she launched an art and design program, co-designing studio workshops in Oaxaca and Puebla.  Her work is in private and institutional collections and exhibited broadly. Visitors are warmly welcome to visit her studio in downtown Sarasota
